Arriving in Oslo

[EN] We knew since the beggining that we would face difficult moments, but we also know that those moments are temporary, we should always respect them but not fear them. The important is not to loose the strenght, courage and faith we have!

Our last upgrade were two sleeping bags to sleep under around -20 degrees and a support in the front of the tandem to carry them, and so it gets heavier!!

[EN] The line of cars to get inside the ferry was long, school holidays meant that numerous families were on their way to the ski season in Norway. We could see a lot of the people inside the cars looking at us with an interrogation look… maybe because we were the only ones with the roof open while snowing!!

We met Arti inside the ferry, a Nordic guy that curiously was also heading to Nordkapp, the only difference was that he was going on a KTM.

[EN] The boat trip was calm and lasted all night. When the sun started to rise we started to be able to see the amazing fjord that was leading us to Oslo, but with a big difference on the landscape.. everything was white and frozen.

[EN] When the huge door of the ferry started to open, I remembered the words of a friend:

“you are going to put yourself on the wolf’s mouth!”

It was snowing and everything was white, including all the roads around us. There were some people telling us and the cars to move forward, and all we could see were their eyes as they were covered in clothes.

Some people would wave from the inside of their warm cars, others would make encouragement signs and others asked us if we were crazy!
