[EN] During the day we had numerous tunnels on our way, some of them where it was not possible to cross by bicycle. That meant twice as much kilometers and more inclination as we had to get to the other side of the mountain by the old roads, however, it was with no doubt a better way with no cars and with beautiful nature. On the other side, going on the tunnels was quicker but so much more stressful, the space is so small that when cars or trucks come we feel very small and unprotected. The plan was to arrive in Alta and, even though the day started with a beautiful sun ….. was right, the clouds started to show up and in the middle of nowhere we had to stop and quickly put on our rain clothes. Until we arrived we had to cycle a lot of kilometers with water falling on our faces. From where we were we could see Alta but the signs on the road were telling us it was still around 50 kms away. Even though we have sunlight 24 hours a day, the clouds were so dark and full of rain that when we arrived in the city it was pretty much night. Another end of the day to forget about! We had some food on our bags, but opening them meant filling them with water from the rain. In addition, from the inside of the back wheel we could hear a constant and loud “track” every other time. We heard that sound before but it was not constant… So close from North Cape and with no bicycle shops around, we had to have a difficult problem to solve…
